Request to my reader(s): what blogs do you follow?
So I've been blogging for a good month and a half now, and have realized that I need (well, want) to broaden my horizons a bit in terms of bloggers who are writing interesting things that I haven't picked up on yet. Any suggestions?
Yancey has a good selection, although I tend more toward the libertarian side of things.
Politics/Economics: Most of Yancey's plus: Popehat, The Agitator (Radley Balko, for some bizarre reason at HuffPo of all places, and he hasn't been doing much there lately because of promoting his book), The Honest Courtesan, The Volokh Conspiracy, Reason.com, Freakonomics, iSteve (Steve Sailor), Chaos Manor (Jerry Pournelle).
Science/Technology: Ars Technica, Not Even Wrong (Peter Woit's physics blog advocating for a return to sound scientific principles in fundamental physics theory), the Space Review, Energy from Thorium.
Health/Diet: Peter Attia's The Eating Academy.
Unclassifiable Internet Stuff: jwz.org (the site/blog of Jamie Zawinski, onetime net.god, current-day iconoclast and purveyor of beer and live music in San Francisco), the Vigilant Citizen, How to Spot a Psychopath.
Love comments! And the nice thing about this small blog is that I rarely get spam so don't need to moderate the comments.
I've set the comments up to allow anonymous users -- but I'd love it if you "signed" your comments (as some of my readers have done) just so you have an identity of sorts.
