I'm moving!

So here's some fun news:  the blog is moving!  Starting now, I'll be blogging at patheos.com; within a week or so, this blog will redirect there automatically.

It's not officially "live" yet but the URL is active:

http://www.patheos.com/blogs/janetheactuary/

so you can go there and check it out even before it's formally launched (though, until it's live, you won't find me in the listing of blogs at the Patheos homepage).

Now, if you poke around at Patheos, you'll see that it's all about religion (get it?  path-theos, path-to-God), and I am, of course, slotted into the Catholic Channel, but I'm not limited to specifically Catholic blogging.  I'll be able to blog in the same, all-over-the-map way as I do now, about whatever topics I'm thinking about at the moment, so I hope you'll all join me over there, whether you're Catholic, or Protestant, or totally indifferent to religious topics except as they spill over into public policy and politics.  There'll also be an option to subscribe by e-mail, though I'm told that it'll take a few more days to set up, and the site uses Disqus comments, which should be a nice enhancement over the Blogger system.

Hope to see you there!

  1. Congratulations! Patheos is a great site with reliably solid blogs, so I'm very excited to see you joining the ranks of patheos bloggers.

Looking forward to reading you over on patheos!

  2. Congratulations! I am still at Blogger, but I don't like Google and would love to change.

  3. What are the issues on where you blog and how does it matter, Jane or anyone?

    1. Well, there are a couple reasons why it matters -- in the first place, there's an element of recognition in having been invited to join there. And there's the prospect of being a part of a "blogging community" by interacting with the other bloggers there, and the expectation that joining there will increase my audience as well.

Love comments! And the nice thing about this small blog is that I rarely get spam so don't need to moderate the comments.

I've set the comments up to allow anonymous users -- but I'd love it if you "signed" your comments (as some of my readers have done) just so you have an identity of sorts.
